Dress to Impress night replacing one of the formal nights?

Princess Cruises - boards.cruisecritic.com
I just received a notice of a formal night update for our Majestic Sailing in May sailing Barcelona to Rome. I am happy for the change as it really is a pain to get my DH to wear formal attire. Anyway, I've never seen a "dress to impress" night before. Is this new? Or maybe something just in Europe?

UPDATED FORMAL NIGHT SCHEDULE

We look forward to welcoming you aboard Majestic Princess for your upcoming cruise. We wish to advise you that there has been a change to the formal night schedule for your voyage. There will be one formal night, and one Dress To Impress night.

On formal nights, typical black-tie attire is appropriate. Items include evening gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies, and tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with a tie for men. On our Dress to Impress night, we recommend collared shirts and slacks for men, and dresses, skirts or slacks for women. Guests may prefer to dress more formally in jackets, sports coats, or evening gowns if they choose.
