Booking future cruise on board vs booking through PVP

Carnival Cruise Lines - boards.cruisecritic.com
I'm booked on the Breeze in June. I've decided to take my niece and nephew on a cruise next year for spring break. I'm looking at a 5 day on Valor out of Galveston. My plan was to wait until I'm on board the Breeze to book the spring break cruise in hopes of getting a better deal. In the last few days the cost of the March 2018 cruise has increased by almost $100 a person. Should I go ahead and book now as opposed to waiting for a deal on board?
