Europe goes Caribbean, MSC Poesia cruise, March 30 2013
After reading many reviews about recent cruises I decided to add mine. This will be more of a photo-review.
You wanna be Americano?!
Meet Godmother of Poesia Sophia Loren
Wonderful song, which we got to hear on Poesia for the first time
Little bit about us. We are in our early 40-ies from Boston area, originally from Ukraine. Professionals, recent empty-nesters for now, as our son is in the military, serving in Germany. We have somewhat extensive history of cruising with all lines. Lately we do not fly to Florida to cruise, it is mostly cruises out of NYC/Boston area or Med/Northern Europe.
This cruise was from Florida, as we wanted to try another line, about which we heard a lot of conflicting opinions, but ships on internet looked wonderful, and prices?! You cannot beat these balcony prices during Spring break!
So, we drove to Boca Raton, stayed at Marriott Boca Raton at Boca Center. My DH is not a big fan of flying, so he would drive even 21 hours, rather than fly! Hotel is nice and clean, I wish we were not that tired
Palm trees!!! How great to see them after recent snowstorms!
There is good food store in walking distance from the hotel, with extensive Deli department. Nice, healthy salads, seafood, meats.
