Best Place for an Entrepreneurial Geek

Middle East : British Expat Discussion Forum - britishexpats.com
So I have been living in Riyadh for quite a while now and although I loved it at first it is now taking its toll. I am a married female that works from home, so have no interest in working in a school or doing crafts and sitting around at coffee mornings. I am a sociable person but I have moved to a compound where there are a lot of small minded, cliques so I am wary about putting myself out there. All the friends I have found out here that I can relax with have gone or will go back to the UK.

It has come time for a change, I want to have a life again away from being a mum, a wife and behind a laptop. I love the company of entrepreneurs and geeks. People with a lust for life that love to chat about crazy ideas over a drink and a meal. Even a place with a hub or incubator type area that I could hotdesk, just to meet some like minded people to have fun with and barbecues at the weekend. Where my son (soon to go to high school) will also be happy.

So now the time has come where hubby is in a position to start job hunting and opportunities will be coming through for the Middle East. In your experience, where would you recommend Dubai, Abu Dahbi or Doha? Is there such a scene at any of these places or am I dreaming and destined to join the baking and sewing club
