Moving to Stamford! Help

Connecticut Forum - Relocation, Moving, Local City Discussions - City-Data Forum - www.city-data.com
I will be graduating from UConn this coming May and have accepted a job offer from a company that is located at One Stamford Plaza. I am looking to get an apartment with either 2 or 3 bedrooms (my roommate situation isn't definite yet). I would like to live in downtown Stamford so that I can walk to work. One of my roommates is commuting to NYC and wants to be able to walk to the train station. Ideally I would like to live in an apartment building rather than a house or an apartment. How much money do you think this will cost us? I will be making around 50,000.. and since this is my first job I'm honestly not sure what I can afford. I was thinking under 1000 was good, but my other roommate said 600, which I think might be impossible. Are there any apartment buildings that you can suggest. I also REALLY want a terrace..

Thanks!
