Another post on college - FGCU

Florida Forum - Relocation, Moving, Local City Discussions - City-Data Forum - www.city-data.com
My daughter (a junior) has a GPA right now of 2.97. She has consistently had a range of grades from A- to D, often getting the A- in Math and the D in spanish. She is at a Minnesota high school, and will likely score around a 22 or so on the ACT. She is in the lower 1/3 of her class. Her school is ranked well, if that matters. She's on the dance team and also does studio dance. No job as of yet.

Does she have any chance of getting accepted into FGCU? Do they take students on a probationary basis? Or is a community school like FL Southwestern State a more probable option for the first two years, with the hope she can then get accepted into FGCU?

We will be FL residents. She will be living at home.

Thoughts? Thank you.
