Kansas Child Poverty Rate Continues to Decline

Kansas improved 2 spots, lowering from 17th to 15th in child poverty. Child poverty rates continue to be "high", back in 2008 there were just under 100K children in poverty, compared to 2017 at 122,000, or roughly 17%.

Our neighbors rates:

Colorado: 15 percent

Nebraska and Kansas: 17 percent

Missouri: 20 percent

Oklahoma: 22 percent

Kansas lowers child poverty rate, now ranks 15th in national study
