Help finding a place to call home
We currently live in queens and have started looking at nj as a possible move. I like the feel of the nj towns much more than Long Island.
We've looked at ridgewood and really like the town. We've seen through Trulia that there some homes available in the 500s, but because we don't know the area it's hard to tell if maybe the homes are in a bad part of ridgewood. Same thing with Chatham, there are lower priced homes, but are there areas to avoid.? Are they not being listed with correct info? We are not searching for mansion 3-4 bedroom is fine. No preference if it's an older home. I would rather have a smaller home in a slightly better neighborhood. Although, also don't want to feel like the poorest family on the block.
Any feedback on a realistic budget for these towns or suggestions of others towns
