Is edreams.com a total fraud?

Air Travel Forum - TripAdvisor - www.tripadvisor.com
On Friday the 16th january I made a reservation through you using the site of Edreams.

My flight was booked and a confirmation number was sent. The payment went through on that moment through Paypal (I have the proof of that).

Twenty hours later I received an email from Edreams saying that the price had increased since my booking and if I would like to proceed I should contact them to pay the difference or my flight would be cancelled.

I called the airline and they confirmed that they had the reservation in their system but they hadn't payment confirmation from the agent yet.

When I called edreams (had to search for the phone in spain, because the one they have on their site is out of order!) they said indeed the price had changed and that i would have to pay the difference or cancel. I explained that I understand prices change during the booking but never after you have completed payment. They said this is the way it is. I asked for them to take charge of the difference since if there was a mistake it was on their end, but they said this is how it works and sometimes it happens.

Do you have any idea what the best way to go about this is? i don't want to have to pay a big difference now. And most important, I think people should be warned about them?

thanks!
