Finding a certain diner

New York City Forum, Travel Discussion for New York City - TripAdvisor - www.tripadvisor.com
We ate in a "traditional diner" a number of years ago and, very luckily, found it again on our last visit. I'm trying to remember where it is to recommend it to my son and his wife who are going to NY at Easter.

Someone might just recognise it from this very brief description

It's on a right hand corner (facing towards Times SQ direction), above 12th street, though not too far I think. There are green painted subway steps at the side of the diner, right on the corner.

We had delicious "special lunches" there.

Sorry this is a bit vague. I'd know it right away if I saw it.

Thank you to anyone who can figure it out
