Itinerary June 2017
Myself and 2 children (daughter 13, son 19) are visiting for the second time in June. This is my plan so far. We visited 2 years ago and did the usual hotspots, ESB, 09/11 memorial, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge. There are some gaps which I need some ideas for apart from aimlessly wandering round. Although aimlessly wandering is good.
06/10 - Arrive at JFK 16:30. Air train, LIRR, subway up to Hotel Newton 2528 Broadway @ 95th Street - probably grab something to eat around the hotel and collapse into bed.
06/11 - National Peurto Rican Day Parade then shopping. Further ideas would be helpful for hot shopping spots. We are very low maintenance and loved Old Navy, Sephora and Macy's.
06/12 - Central Park, Met Museum
06/13 - SoL and Ellis Island 10am tickets booked, walk up to South Street Seaport.
06/14 - Highline, West Village, Greenwich Village then TOTR 20:00 tickets booked
06/15 - Tenement Museum, Lower Eastside then????
06/16 - Walking tour of Harlem in the morning - any recommendations. I had one in mind but have lost the name of it. Then back to JFK for our flight at 21:30
Food wise we are easy going and will pick lunch stuff up on the hoof as we are on a tight budget but if there are any budget recommendations in the areas where we are visiting for early evening meals that would be great. We are happy with any type of food. Budget wise I'm not 100% which I realise isn't very helpful!
