Best way to have travel money for Vegas?

Las Vegas Forum, Travel Discussion for Las Vegas - TripAdvisor - www.tripadvisor.com
Hi All,

I'm travelling to Vegas for the first time in 5 weeks time from the UK. Staying 8 days at the Cosmopolitan.

I plan on seeing a couple of shows / going to the Grand Canyon / Helicopter trip.

Then gambling around $300 Dollars per day with a further $100 Dollars for food / entertainment per day (As Wicked Spoon Daily Breakfast Buffet included in my holiday offer).

Just wondered what the best (cheapest and safest way) of having money on the strip. I don't want loads stored in the hotel safe or loads physically on me at anyone time walking down the strip. Are pre-paid travel cards best to use? If so which ones? Or should I do various combinations of cash / travellers cheques / pre-paid travel card. I plan to withdraw every 2 days cash of $600 Dollars for gambling (max) depending or if not won previous days.

All advice would be helpful including recommended cards / best payment methods for different things etc.
