4x4 driving across Southern Africa, looking for a travel mate
I've been thinking about this for a while and have done some initial research as to how and where roughly.
Although I am an offroading enthusiast and fairly knowledgeable in 4x4 vehicles and off roading techniques, driving through Africa is no trivial matter and I don't want to do it solo. Looking for someone who is geniunely interested in 4x4 journey in Africa, no prior experience or any skills necessary on your part as I have all of them, but you do need to be able to drive just in case, and you must love the wilderness of Africa.
Me in my late 40s, very fit, not very boring, and a good cook :-)) I normally live in London.
I'll hire a specialist 4x4 truck (likely to be a Toyota Landcruiser, fully equipped for off roading and camping) in South Africa and drive it across into Botswana, Namibia etc. Will be a mix of camping and hotels. You don't really have to contribute to the cost of the vehicle though. I just need a good companion and thats it. All other isssues are open to discussion.
