Buying a gun while living in Guam - questions!
My son is in the Army Reserves and he lives in Guam. He is a US citizen. He would like to work in security but the company he is considering requires that employees provide their own handgun.
My son has a gun which is with me in Texas. It is not the ideal weapon for the job (it's a revolver), and not only that - I don't know how to ship it to him. So I was considering just buying it from him and sending him the money to purchase a new gun where he is.
However, he has told me that guns are very expensive in Guam. Is that so?
I had an idea - I wonder if he could buy a gun online and have it shipped to a gun store on Guam for him to pick up there. I really don't know how all this works and he is telling me that he will get "ripped off" if he has to buy a gun in Guam.
Any advice out there?
