Chinese Pioneers in Oregon
There was a mention of Chinese gold miners in another thread, but Chinese history in Oregon deserves its own thread. Chinese also built the railroad between Oregon and California, then were shoved onto ships and sent back to China. In the late 19th century, any town over 200 population, some much smaller, had its own Chinese laundry.
