has anyone here used compression bags to compress clothing?
I've read about them being able to compress clothing in a bag. I guess they are vacuum sealed? Does anyone here know more about these? Is it true some are able to compress up to 75%?

Short Torso Backpack
I'm currently buying gear for a rtw trip. I am tall-ish, but I have a ridiculously short torso to begin with, and it's even shorter after a severe back injury (several compression fractures, now T2-T7 are fused) leaving me almost an inch shorter. My torso length is just under 15".
Buying compression socks in Paris
After a bout of swollen feet and ankles, I'd like to buy some compression socks. I (female) am in Paris now--any idea where I should go to buy these? A pharmacie? I don't need the high fasihion kind; plain black is what I'm after. Thanks for any info.
Compression Packing Bags
With so many brands of travel gear, I'm looking for recommendations for compression clothing bags that really work, don't fill up with air before opening, and save you packing space. Thanks!
I use compression socks for athletic purposes. Do you think it would be a good idea to wear them on a longer flight?
I am doing a long haul flight and suffer from swollen ankles/feet. I was told compression stockings should be put on at least 1 hour prior and left on for 6 hours or more after landing. Previously I have removed them the minute plane lands. Any experience in what works best be helpful. Thanks.
