Considering a move to Dubai
Hi all myself and my husband have toyed with the idea of moving abroad, possibly to Dubai. I am a psychology teacher and lead practitioner and my husband is a project manager in the construction industry. I am 27 and my husband 30 and we both very driven and passionate about it careers.
I am aware that living costs are expensive - I believe my school would give me money towards my accomodation and presume my husband would also find a job which does the same if we were lucky.. I have read somewhere as a married woman I wouldn't get the additional perks such as flights home and health care. Is this true?!
The idea of moving away would be to be able to save money and buy a house to start a family back home in a few years. Would this be realistic or would we be coming out with about the same as we are now living in London? We are also interested in experiencing another country and like the idea of a new challenge and easy access to other countries for travel.I love teaching and want to progress in my career so don't want to move if it would hinder my chances of progression back in the UK.
I am trying to weigh up the cost of putting furniture in storage, bringing our dog over with us, possibly having to have two cars to get to work, rent cost etc with the fact the sun shines and the beach is available to relax at the weekends.
Would a move to Dubai be a good idea for a teacher, project manager and a 3 year old cockapoo? ? ??
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
