Edreams are an utter nightmare- any advice re refunds?
I am having a complete nightmare with Edreams who are unlawfully withholding a refund owed to me since May 2014 valued at over £400.
I made a booking in March 2014 through EDreams website. The payment was made at that time. The next day I rang Edreams to cancel the booking and requested my bank to reclaim the funds as I was concerned at the unprofessional business practices of Edreams (I believed the website to be a scammer website due to the odd emails I was receiving stating “confirmed booking not confirmed” and the fact that the transaction was processed and refunded multiple times in one day).
As the monies were reclaimed by my bank and as Edreams refused to cancel the booking, Edreams then requested monies to be paid through a debt collection agency which I paid. I subsequently got in touch with EasyJet who issued a refund without question, however as the booking had been placed by Edreams the refund was processed to Edreams.
Edreams have therefore received payment for this booking through myself paying through their debt collection agency(April 2014) and through EasyJet issuing a refund (May 2014). This has been explained to Edreams multiple times from August-December 2014 and the debt collection agency letter and EasyJet refund confirmation have both provided. I have had countless conversations and emails since August 2014 and right now still no refund.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next- any ideas!?
