Heathrow Arrival Pick Up
Heathrow seems to have good information on their site for arriving passengers, parking info, meeting places, etc. Please validate if the following is a good plan, or if you might have a better idea.
My husband is flying from the states to MANCHESTER to deal with some family business about 4 days before my arrival at HEATHROW. He will be driving down and pick me up in a rental car and we will go from there to meet some family and tour around.
We don't have cell phones to use over there. Yea, I know...we are behind the times. But, we both have wifi devices we can use to communicate with each other. He'll check my arrival and allow time for me to get through passport control and immigration. THEN, the plan is to just meet me in the arrivals terminal 3.
I saw on the Heathrow arrival info there is long term parking and the public can use this for short term parking for 0-2 hours for free, and you can take the shuttle to the terminal. Since we don't have the phones, I was thinking this might be the best way to meet up. I'm just hoping their information is up to date.
Do you think this is a good plan?
BTW, is Heathrow within that Congestion charge zone?
