Help, Virgin/Disney Have Changed Our Resort!
So, I am hoping someone might have experienced this before, and can give me some idea of what will happen from now on...
The story goes:
2 week holiday for Oct/Nov 2018 booked in April 2017 direct with Virgin in their Meadowhall store.
Resort booked is the Contempory, and deposit paid.
1 month ago logged into the WDW app, showing us as being in the Animal Kingdom.
Contacted WDW by email (thought it might be a booking issue with them), after a few emails told to contact Virgin.
Went to Virgin, they had no idea what was going on, left it with them.
After 2 weeks of enquiries by Virgin, we are being told that there are no rooms free at The Contemporary for our dates, so we have been moved to the Animal Kingdom by Disney.
So, apart from the price difference between the two resorts (and Animal Kingdom being some distance away from where we want to be), it appears that our dream holiday to the Contemporary has come crashing down!!!
Virgins terms and conditions make mention of 'major changes' and that they can change your holiday up to 12 weeks before departure!!! That doesn't seem quite fair to me...
Has anyone else ever experienced anything at all like this? At the minute I am speechless...
Any help would be much appreciated.
