Lufthansa Credit Card Charge for Airfares
I recently booked a ticket within the last week with Lufthansa for an overseas trip. I received a confirmation code AND ticket number (beginning in 220, as their ticket numbers do.) I used a credit card to charge the airfare. For a few days (4-5 days), the charge by Lufthansa was shown as pending, however the credit card company as of today shows no pending charge by Lufthansa, and it has not shown up on my list of cleared charges.
Is this a standard practice by Lufthansa when a credit card is used to charge a ticket?? For all domestic US flights I have taken, this has never happened, and I am wondering if their practices are just a little different than ours here in the States with respect to this topic.
FYI: I am able to look up my reservation on the Lufthansa website, and see a valid ticket number issued when looking it up, along with seats/passport info, price of ticket, etc.
