National Park itinerary - Denver to Vegas
Hi all. I'd like to see the national parks on the route between Denver and Vegas, and could really use help on an itinerary. I'm in far over my head since I've never really driven out west and have only a vague idea of distances and layout. I'll go in Spring or Fall, and I've been to Rocky Mountain, so I don't need to go there again.
I presume Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, and the Grand Canyon are essential. I'd welcome any other essentials, but I only have about a week, not counting maybe one night in Denver and another in Vegas. Before you say "you could spend a week in Zion," I'm a run-and-gun traveler on trips like this. If I'm driving a few hours to Savannah, I'll take my time to be immersed, but it's very possible I'll never get to this area again and just want to see everything. Also, my feet have been operated on, so I'm limited to scenic lookouts on the road, and short, easy trails.
It seems likely I'll have to make the return trip to Denver, but there will be at least two drivers, and we can make it in a straight shot, even if it has to be overnight. I'm sure I didn't give you enough info, but I don't have much myself. Help please?
