Navigo Decouverte Card- Attaching Photo
Arriving in Paris (first trip) on May 29th via Belgium on Thayls train into Gare de Nord station.
Will be in Paris from a Tuesday to Tuesday and staying in 14th A. -so plan to get the Navigo Decouverte Card.
Plan is to get the card kit and load it at the Gare du Nord station and then heading to our hotel -Marriott Rive Gauche.. I have a photo of the correct size that I am bringing with me.
1. How do you attach the photo to the card? Do I need to bring some type of adhesive with me?
2. I'm not sure where in the station the Thayls train arrives (what level). But my research indicates that the SNCF Transilien RER is at Station Level 1. Any idea if that is easy to get to from our arrival train (we will have carry on suitcase).
3. Am I correct the ID card is what contains our photo and printed name. The chip card is what we load for weekly fare. We need to always have everything with us in case someone needs to verify that we are the owners of the chip card?
4. Once we have the card we may take metro to our hotel. The hotel gave us direction to take Line 5 to Place d"italie and then transfer to Line 6 direction Etoile and get off at Glaciere station.
Is the local subway in the same Gare du Nord building but a different level then where we arrived on the Thayls train from Belgium.
Appreciate your assistance. This is our first time traveling by train in Europe and I am a little nervous and like to be prepared ahead of time.
