Needing some encouragement for our upcoming trip...
Not looking for sympathy, but my husband and I are coming to Myrtle Beach next week Thursday, May 24 and returning on Sunday, May 27. I don't know if it's because I'm pregnant and emotional, or what, but I am incredibly concerned about our trip. Not only did I pick the WORST possible time to come because of Bikers Week, but we are also flying with Spirit Airlines, AND the forecast suggests that it will be raining the whole time we are there. I unfortunately was a victim in an armed robbery in February, so the anxiety that came with going through that has also heightened my fear of coming to Myrtle Beach at such a busy time. Can any locals or travelers offer me any kind of reassurance or comfort? I've heard mixed reviews about Bikers Week, some saying that I should reschedule our trip, and others saying that it's not that bad. However, rescheduling is not an option for us because my employer is paying for our stay, and with my due date approaching, this is the only time that worked for us. We are staying at Dune's Village Resort, and aside from visiting Pirate's Voyage one night, and going to Huntington Beach State Park for maternity pictures on another night, we hadn't planned on doing much else other than enjoying the beach.
Thanks in advance!
