Pimlico or Primrose Hill to stay?

London Forum, Travel Discussion for London - TripAdvisor - www.tripadvisor.com
My family of 3 is visiting London for the first time in June and we wanted to stay in a flat, somewhere quiet but centrally located so it's easy to get around the city via the tube. I've found 2 nice places, one is each of these locations. Can someone tell us which is the better neighborhood to stay in? Do they both have restaurants and shops? How do they compare in feel and character? Is one much better located for getting around?

I keep hearing that Bloomsbury is a nice area to stay in, but very hard to find flats available for rent. Looking to find a flat from a reputable source. VRBO fees are very high, but haven't found anything there anyway. Plum Guide, Airbnb, etc.

Thank you for any thoughts/suggestions!
