CT State Route 6
For the first time in awhile, I went up to Hartford for a seminar this morning, going with 684 to 84.
I noticed on 84 East after about the route 9 exit in New Britain was a 2nd route shield constantly posted with the I-84 shield that means "CT State route 6" (i.e. a box with a 6 in it).
Is this something new? Did they mean "US 6" and used the state route shield instead? I'm thinking the latter because Google Maps shows that US route 6 merges with I-84 after the route 9 exit. I think when I've been up there in the past it had the US 6 shield so I didn't notice this before (I was last on 84 going into Hartford about a year ago).
