Train travel Paris to Nice

Paris Forum, Travel Discussion for Paris - TripAdvisor - www.tripadvisor.com
Hi all, we are considering a train trip from Paris to Nice and would like to stop at a couple of towns on the way to sightsee etc. We are thinking the TGV trains travel so fast we would be whizzing through the countryside. Is there an option where we can sit back and actually see the countryside at a more relaxed pace? We are plan to stop at several towns if we are able to. We realise driving would be the best way to do it, but unfortunately this is not an option for us. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks.
