Training and certification for kids club child care staff
Hi there, last year we went to Beaches Turks and Caicos because it was the only resort we could find where the kids club staff are members of the international nanny association, which means they all have thorough, extensive training in child care.
We went in the lowest priced season for the cheapest room 5 nights and it still wasn't something we could really afford. We still haven't finished paying for it. Oops.
We have points that we could use on Hyatt Zivas, Marriott or any Starwood all inclusives or even just hotels with included kids clubs. We could also afford somewhere like Karisma Azul Beach depending on timing. We can't really use those points effectively at Beaches. So my question:
How do you find out the training of the kids club staff at different resort chains? I want to go on vacation but also have a couple of quiet meals and some quiet reading time on the beach. I still felt guilty knowing that the staff were highly trained at beaches, and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable enough with Joe Whomever with one day of corporate "don't yell at the kids" training to use the kids club. But if there's another, cheaper or points-eligible resort w/ equivalent or similar training to beaches, I'd like to know about it. TIA!
