What woul say a Canadian of french roots if s/he was called Latin?
Latin America is the area of the American continent were Spanish is spoken. (it's not a racial term, since all sorts of races live in Latin America)
And this is because Spanish, as italian, Portuguese, French and Romanian are romance languages, they all come from the Latin language, used all over the Roman Empire.
So French, Spanish, Italian people are as latin as somebody from Mexico or Cuba.
Now, since a part of the Canadians of French root (in Quebec and other parts of Canada), think of themselves as "French people", I wonder if they would agree they are Latins?
